Fans of The Office had a dream come true this past weekend in Miami, Florida, where the much-anticipated cast reunion convention took place. This event brought together beloved cast members and fans from all over the world for a day filled with laughter, nostalgia, and heartfelt moments.
The convention center buzzed with excitement as attendees, many dressed as their favorite characters mingled with like minded fans and waited to have 1:1 interactions with their favorite cast members. The convention space included a blow up Scranton Business Park and Poor Richard’s Pub along with a replica of Michael’s desk and both Dwight’s and Michael Scott’s cars.
Tickets
There are multiple tiers of entry. The general admissions ticket gets you into the event space and gives you the chance to book meet and greets and photos at an additional charge through the GA line. They offered multiple VIP ticket tiers with a dedicated fast line for VIPs to experience meet and greets quicker, VIP lounges and early access to the conference space/meet and greets. Professional photos and meet and greets are still at an additional charge.
TIP - if you book VIP, definitely take advantage of that extra hour in the morning for meet and greets. It’ll save so much time later in the day!
TIP - for comfort, if you’re going to do cosplay, I recommend wearing comfortable clothes in the morning and change into your cosplay after lunch so you have time to enjoy it before the cosplay contest, but you’re not stuck in it all day (this look was hot in a Miami summer) 😂
Panel Discussions and Q&A Sessions
The highlight of the event was the series of panel discussions and Q&A sessions with the cast. They were broken out into different groupings, like main cast, fan favorites, heartbreakers, and supporting cast. Each panel with filled with fan questions where the cast members shared behind-the-scenes stories and reminisced about their favorite moments from the show. Their friendship and quick witted humor were so evident, which reminded us all why "The Office" remains such a beloved classic.
Interactive Experiences
The convention featured several interactive experiences, allowing fans to immerse themselves in the world of "The Office." From participating in a “Fundie” Awards ceremony, being a part of a cosplay contest or posing with Meredith (Kate Flannery) while she sits on the hood of Michael’s PT Cruiser. There was something for everyone to enjoy.
Meet-and-Greet Opportunities
One of the most cherished moments for attendees was the chance to meet the cast members in person. Autograph sessions and photo ops provided fans with the opportunity to create lasting memories and share their love for the show directly with the actors who brought their favorite characters to life.
TIP - These experiences were all available at an additional cost either day of, or as a pre-order. I saw quite a few folks booking group meet and greets, one pic with four fans and one celeb/ or group celeb shots. This drastically cuts costs. So if you grab a group of Office-loving fans, it’s much easier to meet more cast members.
The Office Reunion Convention in Miami was such a joy! Being able to celebrate the enduring legacy of the show surrounded by fellow fans made the experience one I know I’ll always treasure!
Whether you were able to attend or followed along on social media, the reunion reminded us all of the magic that happens when great storytelling, talented actors, and devoted fans come together. "That's what she said!"
